Opposition turned into support: finishing the house and keeping Passover with joy
Darius orders the archives searched, Cyrus’ decree is found, and the officials who could have hindered the temple are commanded to support it financially. The house is finished, dedicated with joy, and Passover is kept. Human decrees matter, but Ezra places God’s command and prophetic encouragement at the centre.
