Marvellously helped until he was strong: Uzziah’s prosperity becomes presumption
Uzziah prospers while he seeks God. He becomes a successful soldier, builder, farmer and organiser, and develops impressive military defences. The turning point is explicit: when he becomes strong, his heart is lifted up and he enters the temple to perform priestly incense service.
